nokia n96 problema connessione ubuntu 9.04

Ciao a tutti,
ho un nokia N96 con il quale fino a poco tempo fa riuscivo tranquillamente a collegarmi con il mio ubuntu 9.04 senza alcun problema.
Da un po di tempo a questa parte invece, sia tramite NetworkManager che effettuando la connessione a mano trmaite wvdial (ed avendo settato tutti i parametri corretti in precendeza), non riesce più a connettersi.
In pratica il cell rileva la portante, si connette e si disconnette immediatamente.
A qualcun altro succede?
